Theme for 2026 / 27
Welcome to STBBC Youth

Time
and Space

Come as you are. The One who made the moon and set the stars in motion knows your name and your week — and this year we're asking the big questions together.

You are welcome here
This year's theme

This year, our theme is Time & Space.

We're thinking about just how big and amazing God's creation really is, from the smallest details around us to the vastness of space and the billions of stars beyond what we can see. God is the maker of it all. He created time, space, galaxies, planets, and everything in between.

And yet, in all that vastness, God has time and space for you.

You are not too small, too ordinary, or too far away for God to notice. The God who made the universe knows you, loves you, and wants to spend time with you.

Inspired by Maker of the Moon, this year we'll be exploring what it means to know the God who is bigger than we could ever imagine — and yet is close enough to know each one of us personally.

The universe is huge.
God is bigger.

Sundays

STBBC Youth on a Sunday

Sunday Mornings

Each Sunday we open up a Bible story or theme and explore it over a few weeks, finding joy and wonder in what God is saying and how it speaks into our everyday lives.

Chill Out

Football, volleyball, quick cricket, dodgeball, card games, board games, arts and crafts and so much more. Chill Out runs every Sunday, even in the holidays.

God has created us to be unique, each with our own set of gifts. At Collective we learn new skills every week.

Some weeks we'll be cooking up a storm in the kitchen, others we'll be putting on our finest costumes and filming a movie.

Every May

Belchamps

Each May the whole of Collective heads off to Belchamps for a day of climbing, zip wires and everything else they'll let us loose on.

Other Bits

From January

Year 6s

From January each year we open up STBBC Youth to those in Year 6, giving you the chance to get stuck into everything we do. It's a great way to settle in, make friends, and experience the joy and wonder of being part of the youth family before starting secondary school.

In the community

Shoeburyness High School

We are blessed to have a strong and long-lasting relationship with Shoeburyness High School. Our presence at the school has looked different over the many years, but most recently our Youth Worker runs multiple Arts & Wellbeing courses for young people struggling with their mental health.
